American Disaster Relief Housing Administration

The mission of ADRHA is to assist individuals and organizations developing fund raising efforts for immediate disaster relief needs.

Government assistance will, in most cases, eventually come to those affected by a disaster. However, that often takes months and even years in some cases.

We expedite and facilitate the acceptance, administration and distribution of funds for the most critical immediate needs. We can also provide some guidance to the organizers if needed, along with the all important tax free donation documentation to donors. This relieves the burden and complexity of donations to allow the organizers to focus on obtaining donor commitments through a registered and approved 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

Our current initiative

THE LINE FIRE - Quay County New Mexico

The Line Fire was discovered at 6:14 p.m. Thursday, May 14 near HWY 54 south of Nara Visa in Quay County.

30,000 acres

Officials have estimated that a dozen or so ranchers surrounding the northeastern Quay County village of Nara Visa lost a total of approximately 150 miles of fencing during the Line Fire.

The Immediate Need

Perimeter fencing to contain the livestock that survived the fire so that they can be turned out to graze. They are currently contained on smaller pastures that were unaffected, however, this is a temporary solution and not sustainable. Overcrowding a pasture quickly depletes the remaining ground cover necessary to properly feed the herds. With fence costing between $18,000 to $20,000 per mile, the ranching families in this area have suffered millions of dollars in the loss of fence alone.

The Bigger Issue

Government assistance will, in most cases, take months or even years to be determined and distributed to those affected by disasters.

HOWEVER, GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS DO NOT COVER FENCES

That Is The Bigger Issue

Donate By The Mile

A small group of kind hearted folks have been very generous with their time and have initiated the Donate By The Mile campaign to help the ranching families get their lost perimeter fences replaced.

However, time doesn’t build fences - it takes monetary donations to build fences.

150 miles of fencing at $18,000 per mile equates to $2.7 MILLION DOLLARS on the low end of the estimates. This will devastate and most likely eliminate some of the ranching families who feed our families with the cattle they produce and bring to market.
